Giuseppe Abbate (1962) obtained his degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Calabria and his master's degree in Defence and Security at the Multinational Intelligence Studies Campus.
He holds a Master's in Environmental Management, a Master's in Disaster Management, a Master's in Intelligence and Security and a Master's in Homeland Security & Intelligence Analysis.
He specialised as a disaster manager in the management of major emergencies and international crises at leading university centres, and attended training and specialisation courses in the fields of: Civil Defence, CBRN Risk Techniques and Prevention, Emergency Psychology, Stress Management in Emergency Situations, Intelligence & Security, Risk Analysis, Environmental Protection, Management of interventions in international crises, and Emergency/search and rescue interventions.
He carried out research and teaching activities at the Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria and at FORMEZ; registered with the National Register of Intelligence Analysts and the Albo Nazionale Disaster Manager, he holds the CEPAS OHSAS 18001 certification and the EMIC (Emergency Management Italia Certificato) certification, and is currently an expert lecturer in the subjects of emergency management and security.
He works as an analyst and consultant for institutional bodies and private companies in the field of major infrastructure, forensic engineering and the management of security and environmental protection systems.
As an Army Officer he carried out service duties in Italy and abroad within a NATO framework.
